4th of July Parade

CMYFA cheer will help celebrate the 4th of July with all of Canonsburg!
All of our cheer teams will participate in the community parade.

Join us in the celebration!
4th of July parade practice
will be held Thursday, June 29 from 6-730pm.

If your child does not plan to participate in the parade you are not required to attend parade practice.

4th of July parade practice will be Thursday, June 29 at McDowell field from 6-730pm weather permitting. There will be an emergency contact sheet at parade practice that we ask all parents to complete for their daughters. We are asking for (2) emergency contacts in case we need to get ahold of a parent before, during or after the parade. We are also asking that when you drop your daughter off and pick her up the morning of the parade that you sign them in and out.

CMYFA is looking for donations of MINIATURE water bottles for the girls to drink the day of the parade. We ask for little bottles so there is less waste. If you are interested in donating water, please bring it to parade practice so we can have it in coolers and on ice prior to the parade. We will also need ice donations the morning of the parade.

The girls are to wear their blue cm skort that was given to them at fittings, their CM tank, white no show socks, cheer shoes and their patriotic cheer bow that was also given to them at fittings. The girls will be given their tank top and shoes (if ordered) at parade practice.

Our meeting time and location for the parade is 7:45am at Four Coins Blvd. Traffic is being shut off at 8:30am and the parade committee asks that all participants have reported to their meeting location no later than 8am. Parents are welcome to walk with the girls if they would like. It is not mandatory that you walk with your daughter, extra volunteers are always helpful though with passing out water and helping to make sure the girls are ok. We will have a couple trucks if the girls were to get too tired while walking and need to take a break.

The 4th of July parade starts near Pizza Hut and ends at 7-11 gas station. Once your daughter walks past you during the parade, please begin to make your way to the end to pick her up.

As always, the parade is optional for those who wish to participate.
